Case summary
Fake Best Buy / Geek Squad renewal invoice for $349.99 that tells you to call a support number to cancel. The call centre asks for remote access to your computer and then a bank "refund transfer". Documented by the Better Business Bureau.

Pattern: Fake support / invoice scam
An invoice or renewal notice arrives for a subscription the victim never bought, with a phone number to "cancel". The number reaches the fraudsters, who talk the caller into installing remote-access software to process a refund, then use that access to move money out of the victim's bank account.
How to recognise it
- Invoice arrives as an image or PDF with no account you can log into
- The only way to dispute it is a phone number in the message
- Support asks you to install AnyDesk, TeamViewer or similar
- You are asked to buy gift cards or send a wire to "reverse" a refund
