Editorial policy & corrections

GACS publishes safety information about real entities. We hold ourselves to public, checkable standards — and we publish how to challenge anything we get wrong.

Last updated: 2026-06-06

How we source & verify

  • User reports via /report. An entity is only promoted to the blacklist after 3 independent reports from distinct browser fingerprints, or 1 report cross-confirmed against an external feed.
  • Public registries we ingest: CryptoScamDB, URLhaus (abuse.ch), FCA warning list, SEC investor alerts, and consumer-protection bulletins from listed national agencies. Each ingest run records its source.
  • On-chain checks for wallet entities: balance, first/last activity, and cluster heuristics from open block-explorer data — never private intel.
  • AI-assisted triage labels evidence but never auto-publishes a verdict. A human-readable status (reported, active blacklist, under review) is shown on every entity page.

Advisory-only policy

Everything on GACS — scam reports, risk scores, market signals, AI explanations — is advisory. We do not execute trades, take payments, broker recoveries, or guarantee any outcome. We do not say "buy" or "sell"; we publish bias, scenario, risk, and uncertainty.

Cross-reference with your bank, your national cyber-crime unit, and an independent licensed adviser before acting on anything you read here.

Corrections & updates

  • Material corrections (status change, identifier change, removal) are timestamped on the entity page via dateModified in our structured data, and reflected in /sitemap.xml.
  • Minor edits (typos, formatting) are not separately disclosed.
  • Posts and reports older than 12 months display a freshness notice unless re-verified.

Appeals & takedowns

If you represent an entity listed on GACS and believe the listing is inaccurate, you can appeal. We will review good-faith requests within 7 business daysand either correct the record, downgrade the status, remove the entry, or explain why we are keeping it published.

Email appeals@gacs.app with the entity URL, your relationship to it, and any evidence supporting the appeal (court orders, regulatory licenses, address proofs, on-chain attestations). Anonymous or coercive requests are publicly logged and not acted on.
