GACS User Manual

How to use every GACS tool

GACS (Global Anti-Crime & Safety) is an all-in-one fraud-defense and scam-intelligence platform. It combines a community-sourced scam registry, an AI safety assistant, real-time threat intelligence, and a panic protocol for active incidents. Every module works together — lookups feed reports, reports feed the blacklist, and the blacklist feeds the assistant.

Under attack right now? Open the Panic Guide — it's ordered by stop-the-bleeding priority.

Quick start

1Check something suspicious

Paste any URL, wallet, phone number, email, or @handle into the checker for an instant registry verdict.

2Scan a social profile

Analyze a social media profile for impersonation and pig-butchering signals before you engage.

3Set up free scam alerts

Create a free account to get real-time alerts when new scams match your watchlist.

4Report a scam

Crowdsource the registry — 3 independent reports auto-promote an entity to the Temporary Blacklist.

Every tool, step by step

How to use

  1. Paste the suspicious value (URL, wallet, @handle, phone, email).
  2. Hit Check. The engine normalizes it (lowercase, strips trackers, validates checksums) and queries the registry.
  3. Read the verdict card: green = no match, amber = community-flagged (3+ reports), red = verified scam with evidence.
  4. If it's flagged, follow the linked public scam page for evidence, dates, and victim count.
Tips
  • Wallet addresses are case-sensitive for some chains — paste exactly as shown.
  • If you got a hit, share the public scam page link with the friend who was about to send money.

How to use

  1. Drop a URL, contract, or handle into the recon box.
  2. Layer 1 runs blacklist + slug lookup.
  3. Layer 2 inspects phone numbers and link traps (redirects, lookalike domains, punycode).
  4. Layer 3 analyses on-page scripts and contract bytecode for known scam patterns.
  5. Layer 4 asks the AI safety classifier for a 0–100 risk score with reasoning.
Tips
  • Higher scores aren't proof — read the reasoning. Use it as a prompt to do your own DYOR.

How to use

  1. Open the chat bubble (bottom-right) or the Guardian panel during an active incident.
  2. Paste the message you received, the URL, or describe the situation in plain English.
  3. The agent will quote the suspicious phrases, explain why they're red flags, and suggest next steps.
  4. Every chat is scanned by the safety classifier — PII (seed phrases, private keys, emails) is flagged and never logged in plain text.
Tips
  • Never paste your real seed phrase or private key — even to the assistant. It will warn you and refuse.
  • If you're being pressured to act in minutes, switch to Guardian and follow the Panic Guide.

How to use

  1. Stop sending funds and stop sharing screens immediately.
  2. Follow the numbered checklist top to bottom — it's ordered by stop-the-bleeding priority.
  3. Revoke wallet approvals using the linked revoke.cash flow.
  4. Rotate passwords + enable 2FA on the affected accounts.
  5. File the report (in-app + your local cybercrime unit) before evidence disappears.
Tips
  • Bookmark /panic-guide now — when you actually need it you won't have time to search.

How to use

  1. Drag in a screenshot of the platform someone is asking you to deposit into.
  2. The sandbox highlights fake UI elements (impossible PnL, missing regulatory footers, cloned logos).
  3. Compare side-by-side with a reference of the legitimate platform.
  4. Save the analysis link to share with the would-be victim.
Tips
  • Crop to the suspicious widget — full-page screenshots dilute the signal.

How to use

  1. Fill in what you have: URL/wallet/handle, story, dates, amount lost.
  2. Attach evidence (screenshots, tx hashes, chat exports). Uploads are anonymous.
  3. Submit. You'll get a public scam-page slug you can share immediately.
  4. Once 3 independent fingerprints report the same entity, it auto-promotes to Temporary Blacklist and appears in /is-this-a-scam lookups.
  5. Admin moderators promote vetted Temporary entries to the Verified Blacklist.
Tips
  • Be specific — vague reports get rejected. Include exact URLs, wallet addresses, and timestamps.

How to use

  1. Create a free account — monitoring requires an account so alerts reach your inbox.
  2. Open your dashboard and add watchlist items (a brand, your own name, a wallet, a domain).
  3. Toggle email notifications per item.
  4. Every Friday a weekly safety digest summarizes new matches and trending scams.
Tips
  • Add your own name and business domains first — impersonation alerts are the highest-value signal.

How to use

  1. Sign in and open /dashboard from the header avatar menu.
  2. Review the alert cards at the top — unread alerts are marked.
  3. Manage watchlist items, saved social scans, and notification preferences from the tabs.

How to use

  1. Open the Family plan page and add members by email invite.
  2. Each member gets their own watchlist seeded with their name and contacts.
  3. You see aggregate alerts; each member controls their own private data.
Tips
  • Protecting yourself is good. Protecting your family is better.

How to use

  1. Compare tiers on /pricing — every paid CTA states the outcome and price up front.
  2. Checkout is handled by Stripe; we never see your card number.
  3. Manage or cancel any time from your dashboard billing tab — cancellation is self-serve.
  4. If a checkout is abandoned you'll get at most one reminder email; there are no follow-up sequences.

How to use

  1. Browse the bookshelf and pick a title that matches your current threat level.
  2. Use the in-app reader (PDF / EPUB) — bookmarks and progress sync to your account.

How to use

  1. Sign in at /admin-dashboard.
  2. Review the moderation queue: Temporary entries with 3+ reports waiting for verification.
  3. Open /admin-monitoring for live AI metrics: latency, error rate, RAG accuracy, safety violations, and cost.

Glossary

Blacklist (Temporary)
An entity flagged by 3 or more independent community reports. Strong signal, pending admin review.
Blacklist (Verified)
An entity a human moderator reviewed and confirmed with evidence. Highest-confidence verdict.
Pig-butchering
A long-con scam where the scammer builds trust over weeks (romance/friendship) before steering the victim to a fake investment platform.
Watchlist
Your personal monitoring list. Anything on it is checked against every new report and registry entry.
Risk score (0–100)
The AI classifier's estimate of how closely a message, site, or profile matches known scam patterns. A signal, not proof.
Fingerprint
An anonymous, hashed device identifier used to count independent reports. It cannot be traced back to you.

Frequently asked questions

Is my data shared with the public?

Only what you publish on a scam report's public page is public. Your account, fingerprint, and uploads to the recon engine stay private. Storage buckets have explicit deny-all read policies.

Why does GACS ask me not to paste seed phrases?

Anyone who has your seed phrase owns your wallet. The assistant will refuse to process it and the safety classifier flags it as a critical violation. No legitimate service ever needs it.

What does 'Temporary' vs 'Verified' blacklist mean?

Temporary = community-reported (3+ unique reporters). Verified = an admin reviewed the evidence and confirmed it. Lookups return both, but verified carries more weight.

Do I need an account to check if something is a scam?

No. The scam checker, registry, guides, and public scam pages work without an account. An account is only needed for monitoring features: watchlists, email alerts, saved scans, and the weekly safety digest.

How do scam alerts work?

Add a name, brand, domain, wallet, or phone number to your watchlist. When a new community report or blacklist entry matches it, you get an email alert. A weekly digest every Friday summarizes all matches and trending scams.

How do I cancel a paid subscription?

Open your dashboard, go to the billing tab, and cancel — it's fully self-serve with no retention flow. Access continues until the end of the paid period. Checkout is processed by Stripe; GACS never stores your card number.

How do I support GACS?

The checker, registry, alerts, and guides are free and ad-free. If it saved you money, an optional paid plan or a small donation keeps the AI gateway, storage, and infrastructure paid for.

More answers on the full FAQ page.

The scam checker, registry, alerts and guides are free and ad-free. GACS is funded by optional paid training and protection subscriptions, plus donations. We use first-party analytics (Google Tag Manager, IP-hashed) to improve the product and never sell data. No one can pay to be added to, removed from, or kept off the blacklist.
