Accessibility Statement

GACS targets WCAG 2.2 AA. Our commitments, assistive-technology support, known limitations and how to report a barrier.

1. Our commitment

GACS aims to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at Level AA across all public pages. Anti-fraud protection is a public good — it has to be usable by elderly victims, people with low vision, screen-reader users, motor-impaired users, and people on low-end mobile devices.

2. Keyboard & focus

All interactive controls are reachable by keyboard. We use semantic HTML, visible focus rings, and skip-to-content patterns. Modal dialogs trap focus and restore it on close.

3. Colour & contrast

We use design-system tokens with at least 4.5:1 contrast for body text and 3:1 for large headings on our dark theme. Status colours (red for warning, green for safe) are always paired with a text label and an icon so they are not the sole signal.

4. Assistive technology support

We test core flows (scam check, report submission, certificate verification) with NVDA on Windows, VoiceOver on macOS/iOS, and TalkBack on Android. Charts and maps include text alternatives or accessible data tables.

5. Known limitations

Some third-party trading widgets (institutional dashboard) and certain on-chain visualisations are not yet fully accessible. We surface the same data in accessible tables where possible and flag the limitation on the page. Older blog posts may not meet every AA criterion until reviewed.

6. Report a barrier

If something is unusable for you, please tell us. We treat accessibility reports as priority bugs and respond within 5 business days. Use the feedback form, or email accessibility@gacs.app.
