First 10 minutes if something happens

2. 2.Freeze cards immediately in your bank app (do this before calling the bank — it's faster). Revoke Apple Pay / Google Pay from a trusted device if your phone was taken.
3. 3.Change the password on your primary email from a trusted device, then sign out of every other session. Email is the master key to everything else.

   Bag snatches and phone lifts in the crowd on Fleet Street and Wellington Quay at 1–3am.
   Avoid: Phone in front zipped pocket, not on the table.
   If it happens: Use Find My iPhone / Find My Device immediately — many are recovered nearby.
2. 2. Unlicensed taxi from Dublin Airport
   'Taxi?' at arrivals leads to a €120 fare for a €35 metered trip.
   Avoid: Use the official taxi rank outside Arrivals — every car is licensed and metered.
   If it happens: Refuse to pay above metered rate; photograph the plate.
3. 3. Fake charity chuggers on Grafton Street
   'Sign up for direct debit' street collectors are often unregistered.
   Avoid: Real charities are on the Charities Regulator register (charitiesregulator.ie).
   If it happens: Cancel any signed direct debit at your bank within 8 weeks (Irish SEPA rules).
4. 4. Fake bus / tour tickets outside Trinity College
   'Discount hop-on tour' tickets from a folding table — no bus arrives.
   Avoid: Buy from the official Dublin Bus Tour booth on O'Connell Street, or online.
   If it happens: Refund via your card issuer if you paid electronically.
5. 5. Three-card monte on O'Connell Bridge
   Rigged card game with plants in the crowd; pickpockets work watchers.
   Avoid: Never bet — the game is rigged 100% of the time.
   If it happens: Walk on — no recovery for money bet on illegal games.
