Public-safety mission
GACS exists to make 30-second scam detection a basic public utility — free, anonymous, independent, and as universally accessible as the search bar people use to look up suspicious accounts in the first place.
The problem we exist to solve
Online impersonation, recovery scams, and AI-driven fraud cost individuals an estimated $1+ trillion globally each year and the numbers are accelerating. Platforms detect a fraction in time; the rest fall on individuals to spot, and most people don't know what to look for. The structural fix is making detection trivial: paste a handle, get a verdict in seconds, before any money or trust moves.
Our four guiding principles
Safety is a right, not a feature
Scam detection should be as accessible as a search engine — free at the point of need, instantly available, no signup required. The people most at risk are the least able to pay.
Globally available, locally aware
GACS works in every country and is used in 40+. The signals adapt to platform, language, and region — because impersonation patterns differ on TikTok vs Telegram, and in English vs Spanish.
Built with the community
Every confirmed scam report feeds a learning loop that improves the scanner for everyone. The public scam database is permanent and indexable so the next victim finds the warning via Google before sending money.
Independent and accountable
Not owned by a platform, exchange, or government. Source-visible builds, a public methodology, and a written editorial policy make our claims checkable rather than trust-me-bro.
What success looks like
- • Every Google search for a scam handle returns the GACS warning page on page one.
- • Every creator can verify their followers' safety without paying for it themselves.
- • Every victim has a clear, free path to report a scam and protect the next person targeted.
- • Every newsroom and law-enforcement team has free access to the same evidence base we use internally.
How to help
Report scams you encounter at /report, share scanner links with people who need them, and (if you can) support the project via the donation link in the footer. Creators can fund the free tools by enabling continuous monitoring of their own following lists.
