Is every call from an 830 number a scam?
No. Area code 830 is a normal US area code used by ordinary businesses and people. The numbers listed here are the ones consumers named in Do Not Call complaints — the area code itself tells you nothing about whether a specific call is legitimate.
Why do I keep getting calls from 830 numbers?
Scam dialers often spoof a local-looking prefix so the call appears familiar, and they rotate through numbers within the same area code. That is why blocking one number rarely stops the calls.
Should I call an 830 number back?
No. Returning a call to an unknown number can confirm your line is live or connect you to a premium-rate service. A genuine caller will leave a voicemail.
