What is a honeypot token?
A honeypot is a smart contract that lets you buy a token but blocks you (or anyone except the deployer) from selling. The chart looks like it's only going up because no one can take profit. By the time you notice, the deployer has already drained the liquidity pool.
How does a honeypot checker work?
It simulates a buy and an immediate sell against the live contract. If the sell would revert, fail, or pay a 99% tax, the contract is flagged as a honeypot. GACS also checks for mint authority, blacklist functions, max-wallet limits that only trigger on sells, and proxy-upgradable code that can be changed after launch.

What if a token passes the honeypot check but I still lose money?
Honeypot is one specific scam pattern — there are others. A token can be 100% sellable and still be a rug pull (liquidity removed) or a pump-and-dump. GACS also scores liquidity lock status, holder concentration, and deployer wallet history. Use the full risk report, not just the honeypot bit.
