GACS Scam Scanner — Browser Extension

How to install it (5 minutes, no tech skills)

Chromium build works in Chrome, Brave, Edge, Opera, and Arc. The Firefox build loads via about:debugging → This Firefox → Load Temporary Add-on.

   Click the big blue Download button above

   A file called gacs-extension.zip will land in your Downloads folder.

   Unzip it

   • Windows: Right-click the file → Extract All… → Extract.
   • Mac: Double-click the file. A folder called gacs-extension appears.

   Remember where this folder is — you'll point Chrome at it in step 5.

   Open the Extensions page in Chrome

   Copy this and paste it into Chrome's address bar, then press Enter:chrome://extensions

   Turn on Developer mode

   Top-right of that page, flip the Developer mode switch ON.

   Click "Load unpacked" and pick the unzipped folder

   A button appears top-left. Click it, then select the gacs-extension folder you unzipped in step 2.

   Pin the shield icon to your toolbar

   Click the puzzle-piece icon at the top-right of Chrome, find GACS, and click the little pin. Now the shield 🛡️ lives next to your address bar — click it on any profile to scan instantly.

What it does

• Click the shield icon — scans the page you're on.
• Right-click any link → Scan this link with GACS.
• Highlight a @handle or URL → right-click → Scan selected.
• Works on TikTok, Instagram, X, Telegram, Facebook, YouTube, Reddit, Discord, Twitch.
