1. Warm-Up Story

Imagine your phone rings. You answer it, and you hear your daughter's voice:

“Mom, I need help. Please don't tell anyone.”

Your heart drops. It sounds exactly like her — same tone, same breathing, same panic.

But it isn't her.

It's a computer copying her voice.

This is the world we live in now. And this course will teach you how to stay safe in it.

2. What AI Really Is

AI is a computer program that can:

  • Write messages
  • Create images
  • Copy voices
  • Make videos
  • Pretend to be people

2.1 — A Tool, Not Magic

AI is not magic. It's just a tool — like a hammer.

A hammer can build a house. A hammer can also break a window.

AI is the same. Good people use it for good. Bad people use it to scam.

3. What AI Can Do

AI can:

  • Write emails that look real
  • Create fake bank alerts
  • Copy someone's voice
  • Make fake videos
  • Pretend to be customer support
  • Pretend to be your boss
  • Pretend to be your child

4. What AI Cannot Do

AI cannot:

  • Think like a human
  • Feel emotions
  • Understand right from wrong
  • Know the truth
  • Guarantee accuracy

4.1 — Remember

AI can be confident and wrong at the same time.

5. How Scammers Use AI

Scammers use AI to make:

  • Perfect written messages
  • Fake voices
  • Fake videos
  • Fake websites
  • Fake job offers
  • Fake bank alerts
  • Fake trading platforms

5.1 — Why They Love It

Because AI is fast, cheap, convincing — and it works.

6. Red Flags to Watch For

These are the biggest warning signs:

  • Urgency — “Do this now!”
  • Fear — “Your account is locked!”
  • Emotion — “I need help, please!”
  • Pressure — “Don't tell anyone.”
  • Links — “Click here to fix it.”
  • Unknown numbers
  • Requests for money

6.1 — The Gut Rule

If something feels “off,” it probably is.

7. What To Do — Simple Checklist

When something feels wrong:

  • Stop.
  • Don't click anything.
  • Don't send money.
  • Don't share codes or passwords.
  • Verify using a second method — call the real number, check the real website, ask someone you trust.

7.1 — Why This Matters

This one habit will save you from 90% of scams.

8. Quick Recap

Easy to remember:

  • AI can copy voices and write perfect messages.
  • Scammers use AI to trick people.
  • Slow down.
  • Verify everything.
  • Never trust links.

9. Simulations — Try These Now

Walk through three real-world scenarios. The safe choice in each one is the same shape: do not act on the message itself — verify on a separate trusted channel.

  • Simulation 1 — Fake Bank Alert: SMS says “Your account is locked. Click here to unlock it.” Safe move: call your bank using the number on your card.
  • Simulation 2 — Fake Family Emergency: A voice on the phone sounds like your son: “Mom, I'm in trouble. Don't tell anyone.” Safe move: hang up and call your son directly on his real number.
  • Simulation 3 — Fake Delivery Notice: Email says “Your package could not be delivered. Click here to reschedule.” Safe move: open the official delivery app and check there.
